The Rainey Falls, designed by Rick Wright and Wright Design Studio, reflects a call for true craftsman construction. Recollecting the styles of Greene & Greene Architects, who began the Arts & Crafts Movement of the early 1900s, The Rainey Falls gathers details and concepts from many of their homes designed during the peak of their career, including the Gamble House, the Blacker House, and the Pratt House.
The attention to detail and the use of natural materials are evident throughout the house, both on the exterior, through the use of graduated stone, carved exposed beams, interlocking trusses, posts, and beams; and the interior finishes, as shown by the cabinetry, curved wood elements, and stonework.
Yet, their design improves on the works of the masters with the use of glass to allow more natural light into the home, and improved views from the interior and exterior. The element of a two-story atrium permit enhancing the natural motif with exotic plants year-round. Energy-saving details keep the home snug during long cold winters.
With its majestic lines and graceful overhangs, the Rainey Falls makes for a dramatic statement. This plan is copyrighted by LogRhythms Inc. and can not be reproduced in any manner without express written permission.
